But better wellness is more than that Not only keeping your body healthy, but developing the mindset and balance that prevents illness. Our guests are experienced experts in the world of staying healthy, young and well. My guest is David Delrahim, a wellness expert, noted visionary in the field of wellness, and today he's going to share how we can find that balance in our lives to create harmony. Welcome, david, nice seeing you again. Please tell me a little bit about balance in life. I'm sure not standing on one leg right.

David Delrahim:

Well, when we talk about the balance, we immediately think about the physical balance.

David Delrahim:

Can I stand on one leg, just like the way we do it in yoga, or can I stand on my head and still maintain that posture for a few seconds minutes?

David Delrahim:

But the balance is really more than that the balance in emotions, the balance in mind, the balance in energetic, even the balance in spirituality, and one thing that I have personally noticed in my yoga practices that I cannot really stand on one leg and have a physical balance if my emotions is out of control or if my mind is just wobbling, it's just going all over. So, in order to get to that physical balance, even if we want to get there, we already have to get to a certain point in balance with our emotions and with our mind, and that is a complete balance. And, of course, there are so many things that are throwing us out of balance, even our eating habits, the desires that we have. You know that is why we have obesity. Granted, there are some of these things, you know what could be genetic, but I'm just talking about the consumption, the place, our place of food that is out of balance.

Roland Perez:

Why they call it a balanced diet.

David Delrahim:

Exactly so. Our eating is out of balance, our drinking is out of balance, the way we think, the way we are reactive, our emotions, everything is out of balance. So, while we are trying to stand on our one foot, that is not really a total representation of balance, and one of the reasons that we meditate, we calm our mind, is to create that inner balance. So before we really practice outward balance, we need to start practicing inner balance. Everything starts from inside, going out, not from outside going in. It's one way, because the other way is just not sustainable. We are the variable Outside nature, nature, nature is fixed. What is between nature and us is a layer of chaos that is throwing us off. In order to withstand that sheer size out of balance chaos, we have to stabilize ourselves, and that stabilization comes from inside. And if we are not, if we cannot work on it, we will always be wobbly.

Roland Perez:

I had a physical therapist once who I was listening to the person next to me you know how physical therapy places are, they're just big rooms and I was watching this person who had problems with balance and she said to this man she said you have to reach a natural zone, you have to find the balance. You have to find that natural area in your standing where you're going to the left, you aren't going to the right. Your natural state is a natural balance and when you're young you have that wonderful natural balance. Either by trauma or by age, you have lost it. By an inner ear. You have lost that balance. I'm looking at it on an emotional state. What you were just is to keep that balance, always keeping that balance in your mind. How do you do that?

David Delrahim:

Well, a lot of the out-of-balance elements come from our belief system that is just out of alignment with nature, with the truth. So we are causing our own pain through certain belief system and we need to audit that. What? Maybe it worked for us at age seven, when we were getting programmed by our parents. It needs to be revisited by age 17. And then what is going to work at age 27? And then what is going to work at age 27? Probably you got to get rid of some of those belief systems that we adopted back in age 17. So we're always evolving. That is what the growth is.

Roland Perez:

Evolution.

Roland Perez:

Otherwise we are that seven-year-old kid in the body of 47. And those are some of the problems that people who have mental illness. They never really let go of a hurt that had at 17. They never evolved from that emotion, from that emotion and it just when they now are 35, they're off balance because they're still living in the past of something that stops them from having the calmness of balance. Because there is a calmness in balance when you know that things are balanced at home and things are coming, when you know that things are balanced at home and things are coming. As a young man I remember coming home from the office and it was a good day at the office and I came home and I could smell food and it was all. It was just a wonderful day.

David Delrahim:

And it was, and one of the reasons that it was, it was just balanced. So if I want to pick one element, just one, I don't have a luxury of picking two or three, just one. That truly can create harmonization and balance for the mankind, for the humankind, is love, Just one love. You go home if you know love is waiting for you. You want to get there sooner than later. You have a hope that you get home and you will be very well received with love. You're going to immerse yourself. You're going to forget about all the troubles that you had all day with the field of chaos.

Roland Perez:

You get disconnected, Get home and then everything balances Right with the field of chaos. You get disconnected, get home and then everything balances.

David Delrahim:

Right. When we go to nature, the trees and birds and oceans and the creeks and the runnings and the breeze that come through, what do we feel? We feel loved. These are all love. It's a frequency of love and we get harmonized through that channel. We human can do that, but it takes a certain consciousness to understand that we are capable of opening that channel to each other and to ourselves.

Roland Perez:

One thing I've noticed about you is that you surround yourself. When I came up the driveway the other day, I noticed a waterfall. And then I was at one of your places and there's a waterfall. And then across the street, there's another one of your sub areas that you do and there's a waterfall. Alright, what's with the waterfall? What do you find in a waterfall? And is it true that you have waterfalls in a lot of different places?

David Delrahim:

That is very true, but for many years I want to say for the past 30 years that I started developing I always incorporated a waterfall. First of all, water is consciousness. So having the water at the corner or at the entrance, I want to introduce everyone to the consciousness of the water. The running water continues to change the energy that is in that space. I'm putting it at the entry, hoping to cleanse the people's energy as they come in, hoping that continues the energy, the unwanted energy that is coming to the business or to the space, to the business or to the space, making people think for a second or two about nature, water connecting. Hopefully I can participate in relaxing their brain and their process of harmonization.

Roland Perez:
